Here’s how to stop putting out forest fires with a 5-gallon bucket inside your business…
Last weekend my GF went to her parents’ place for three days, so I had our apartment for myself.
It’s funny how the exact same place can feel so weird. Know what I mean? I was able to chill, go for some runs, watched some movies. But… things just felt weird because she wasn’t home.
But just because something feels “weird” doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
I LOVE spending time with her, but we also both appreciate being able to do stuff on our own.
This is similar to the whole concept of how to delegate effectively…
You might feel you’re shouldering the weight of every burden inside your business.
- Maybe even trying to put out a forest fire with a 5-gallon bucket…
- Maybe you’re afraid of letting go because your team isn’t able to do as well a job as you…
- Maybe you’re struggling to keep up with the demands of your clients and team while trying to keep your family life together…
Here’s the thing:
Just because things feel weird –or– scary doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
The choice that scares you the most (or feels the hardest) is usually the one you should focus on.
And if delegating feels scary… or… if you feel your team can’t do as well a job as you… GOOD NEWS. As the leader, it’s your responsibility to fix this. Nobody, literally, NO ONE, is coming to save you.
Making tough decisions is the life of a leader.
You might as well get used to it, lol.
There are strategies to this and I go in-depth on how to do this inside my PerformanceKit™ workshop for high-achieving business owners and leaders.
Imagine how much time you’d be able to get if you started delegating just 10% of your current workload. And yes, It IS possible. You just need the proper strategies.
